Jonathan Prostko writes sci-fi and fantasy stories that center working-class heroes, ensemble casts with real stakes, and worlds dense enough to get lost in. He's spent years running tabletop RPG campaigns across D&D, Star Wars, Vampire: the Masquerade, and beyond — and the Spark Saga carries that same improvised, faction-driven energy onto the page.
The Spark of Artemis series grew from a simple question: what happens when fascism returns and the people who were supposed to stop it are the ones who let it in? Zavrel, Switch, Helena, Rydra — they didn't sign up to save the world. But the world made them anyway.
